Delivering the creative, cost and safety benefits of drones – Tony Roddam, Managing Director of Flying Colours Media
‘Photography has been a constant companion since I headed for university and a camera has always been beside me through my travels, adventures and career. I was lucky enough to work for a decade as a journalist with Reuters, Bloomberg and Germany’s VWD before moving into corporate communications as a media relations manager with French pharmaceuticals group Aventis and German software giant SAP.
I moved into the charity sector and spent almost 10 years with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), developing and harnessing the power of video, photos and multimedia online communications to bring to life the work of that lifesaving charity’s amazing volunteers.
As a private pilot and photographer, I was inspired and fascinated by the emerging drone industry and its astonishing potential. I left the RNLI in early 2017 to set up Flying Colours, qualify as a professional drone pilot, and combine my passions for photography, aviation and multimedia communications. I am excited to see where this fledgling industry might take us all in the next decades.
My vision is to bring the creative, cost and safety benefits of drones out of the specialist arena and into the everyday. Drones are no longer the preserve of the military or the large corporate giant. They are opening up a whole new view of the world and ultimately will make the workplace a more creative and safer environment. Take a look at the What we offer and Drones and you pages to see how Flying Colours might help you.
I hope you enjoy my pictures and look forward to working with you. Thank you for your interest’.
